Custom Software Systems Inc., is seeking a Junior Tools Administrator to join the Infrastructure Team for our client. The successful candidate will have experience working on project teams with other admins, developers, testers, and project managers. The successful candidate will foster communication with both customers and team members, will have a can-do attitude, and will possess a strong willingness to learn new skills and take on new responsibilities. The candidate selected will work closely with multiple experienced administrators and will learn to serve as administrator and SME for multiple supporting tools and applications.


  • Support the design, development and ongoing operations of multiple system tools and support applications
  • Setup and integration of support tools and applications with primary components of the client’s system, i.e. PeopleSoft, OBIEE, OAM, etc.
  • Support the Test and CM teams for Functional/Security and Performance Testing, code packaging and code migration to various Test and Prod environment
  • Work closely with other application administrators, development teams, and test teams to define requirements and develop solutions to complex problems
  • Work closely with DBAs, BI Dev, PeopleSoft Dev, and Security teams to improve application performance and data quality
  • Work closely with developers, SMEs and Testers using Agile sessions
  • Work to identify, prioritize, and execute tasks to meet program goals and deliverable objectives
  • Other tasks and activities as assigned or directed by the Infrastructure Manager


  • Current DOD Secret Clearance required; SSBI preferred
  • Current Security+ Accreditation required
  • 2+ years of demonstrated work experience with Oracle products, preferably in a Solaris or Linux processing environment
  • 2+ years of successfully demonstrated work experience using Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, SQL*Loader, and shell scripting
  • Hands-on experience with WebLogic administration (preferred) or other application server administration
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle applications and Oracle Middleware
  • Experience with Oracle WebLogic in a Unix/Linux environment

  • Knowledge and understanding of web servers, application servers, Java EE, XML, Web Services, SOAP, WSDL, authorization & authentication strategies and F5
  • Knowledge of SSL (and non-SSL), proxy (and reverse-proxy) servers, and single sign-on technologies
  • Desire and aptitude for learning and rapidly mastering new applications and technology
  • Experience providing production support with a working knowledge of multiple Oracle application components
  • Knowledge High-Availability and Disaster Recovery architecture and configuration
  • Experience with application of STIGs
  • Experience working with DoD or Army data centers
  • Microsoft Server 2012R2 Administration experience is a plus
  • Experience with troubleshooting techniques and has the ability to dig in to details and work both independently or collaboratively to solve problems quickly;


  • BA/BS degree and 2 - 5 years of related work experience
